By implementing incremental changes to our financial polices and procedures with increased emphasis on best practices, the financial system was transformed from one that was sufficient to support the affiliate building one to two houses a year to a system that enables this affiliate to build six to ten houses a year. We are well on our way to building six houses in 2008, receiving nearly $500,000 in donations, and tripling the number of families getting new affordable houses compared to previous years.
